If you are accessing the Mira web suite on a Windows machine to perform Connect 2.0 calls, please note that the Windows Operating System has a setting available called "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" which enables a specific app on your desktop or laptop to gain exclusive control of your audio input (such as microphone on a bluetooth connected headphones or your laptop's mic), or output devices (such as your laptop speakers, or your bluetooth connected headset).
If this setting is allowed, you may encounter a situation where your laptop or bluetooth headphone microphone audio is not shared with the other participants during a Mira Connect 2.0 call because another app running on your machine has gained exclusive control of your audio input or output devices (such as MS Teams).
To ensure this does not occur, we recommend you perform the following steps. Note that these steps will need to be performed outside of a Connect call so that the Connect application can be granted access to the audio input or output devices in question upon initiation of the call. Once complete, you will need to REBOOT you computer.
1. Disable exclusive control of input devices:
Open Control panel using the search function in your Windows tray.
• Select Hardware and sound > Sound. (On Windows 10, this is just Sound in your system tray, and selecting Sound Control Panel).
• In the Recording tab, highlight your microphone you wish to use by clicking on it and select Properties in the lower right of the window.
• Navigate to the Advanced tab, and uncheck Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device.
• Apply your changes, and close the window.

2.Disable Exclusive Control of output devices
To do the same for output devices, follow the same steps as above, but select Playback instead of Recordings tab, and then follow the same process:

3. Reboot your computer
Once completed, use the Start menu or ctrl-alt-delete to restart your computer. This is necessary for the setting change to take effect the next time you perform a Connect call.
